What does native advertising mean for your Atlanta email marketing strategy?

February 6, 2017

The nature of native advertising has helped many Atlanta businesses capitalize on the outcome of their email marketing strategy. By definition native advertising is unlike regular advertorials. This form of marketing is actually based around providing the target audience with information, advice, and guidance on something that they will find of interest. In this way, you will grab the attention of your audience and earn their trust and respect too.

When it comes to an effective email marketing strategy, native advertising can play an important role. Consumers tend to turn a blind eye to blatant advertising and if you are sending out marketing emails that simply list your products and specials, chances are that you are going to lose your consumer’s interest somewhere along the way. By incorporating native advertising strategies into your email marketing campaign, you can yield better results.

What native advertising elements should I incorporate in my email marketing campaign?

  • Don’t over market your business – of course, your email marketing campaign will include your business logo and links back to your site but avoid allowing your email or newsletter to turn into a press release for your business. Focus more on helping your target audience than bombarding them with advertising material. Try to avoid mentioning your company.
  • Be honest – consumers are looking for advice and assistance from professionals in the industry, but they also want an honest approach. If you sell a product or service that has a few downsides that can be avoided, mention that and provide useful advice.
  • Promote others – while you don’t want to go about advertising your competition if you have a product that is well complimented by another in the industry, make mention of it.
  • Keep it short, sweet and constant – you won’t get the attention you need from your target audience if you only ever send out one email. Of course, you don’t want to bombard people so keep the content short, interesting and amusing and encourage them to connect with you on other platforms for more.
