Social media marketing: Using Facebook’s Ad Sets in Atlanta

February 6, 2017

If you’re an Atlanta business owner who uses social media marketing to promote your company, then you’ll want to pay attention to Facebook’s new advertising campaign structure which gives more control to advertisers. Facebook is a powerful tool for many companies because it allows them to communicate with their customers in real time, it allows for valuable feedback both positive and negative and allows companies to place targeted advertisements which reach thousands of people on a daily basis.

Ad Sets – Facebook’s new advertising campaign structure

In the past, Facebook had a two-level structure: Campaigns and Ads, but now it has added a third level called Ad Sets. With Ad Sets you can control the start and end dates and the budget of all ads within each ad set, much like campaigns. It allows you to control how much money you spend on each audience, whilst deciding when each audience will see a specific ad.

How does this affect how you use Facebook for advertising and campaigns? Now, you can create one campaign for a specific post to be promoted with ad sets for each audience rather than having to create separate campaigns for each audience you want to target.

Ad Sets also improves ad reporting. In the past, ad reporting required you to include keywords or phrases in campaign names to filter your results, but now you can filter your ad reports by the campaign name and you’ll have all relevant information by ads and ad set.
